Sue and Alan offer you a warm welcome to the Pear Tree Farm Self Catering website.
We offer sole use of the whole guest house for your self catering holiday which sleeps 22 in 9 bedrooms all en-suite power showers (4 double, 3 twin and 2 family rooms - these 2 rooms have a double and 2 single beds with bath/shower over) each room has individual central heating controls; the house has a large comfortable lounge with a woodburner, logs provided; oak floors, ample seating capacity in the dining room for everyone and well equipped kitchens with range cooker 2 ovens and WIFI.
All bathroom essentials (liquid soaps, shampoo, shower wash, body lotion, loo rolls) are provided with towels, linen, hairdryer in each room. 2 of our 9 rooms are situated on the ground floor with disabled facilities and en-suite walk in showers, family rooms also have a bath, fridge and sink/drainer.
Ideal comfortable house for family groups or reunions for special celebrations, hen or stag parties or business team building away days.
There is ample private off road parking and only 10 min walk to the local pub/restaurant in Lea village (Jug & Glass) please book your meal 01629 701509, and 10 min drive to Matlock Bath to give you an idea of location! We are within 15 minutes walk from the High Peak Trail on Cromford Canal and there are lots of walks door to door. Cromford village is apx one mile flat walk along the canal side to Arkwright's Cromford Mills and Cafe. If you have any specific requirements please contact us and we will be happy to help.
The guest house was purpose built 17 years ago and has an idyllic south facing setting with beautiful views over the historic Lea Valley (connections with Florence Nightingale) and on the cusp of the UNESCO Derwent Valley World Heritage Site (on the Nightingale Spur) in the White Peak District. There is a small garden with BBQ and garden furniture.
Holloway village is approximately 15 min walk with grocery store and post office and an award winning butcher. Crich is 2 miles away and provides home made bakery at The Loaf. Tesco at Alfreton, Sainsbury at Matlock and Ripley and Morrisons at Belper are all within 15 min drive or order on line for a delivery.
